Welcome to Sustainable Bedford!

Sustainable Bedford is a partnership between the Town of Bedford’s Energy & Sustainability Committee and municipal departments working together to make our community greener, cleaner, and more energy efficient.

Our work supports the goals of the Town of Bedford’s Net Zero Plan, which was approved by the Select Board in 2019. The Plan outlines strategies to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings and help Bedford contribute to Massachusetts’ goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Beyond the Town’s Net Zero Plan, Sustainable Bedford provides residents with practical resources, programs, and opportunities to reduce their environmental impact.
